Bay Window Repairs - main concrete ring beam
19th November 2015
Collapse of main concrete ring beam in many homes between 1900 -1960's, is a serious factor for bay windows to collapse due to weather elements entering the spar dash finishes over a period of time. In addition many homes have new UPVC windows installed, replacing the old timber frame windows and in some cases the supplier/fitter of the windows has not allowed for strengthens within the columns meeting at the wing windows which eventually results on deflection to one side, bringing tension to the spar dash rendering. As in this case we recently carried out at a home on the Wirral.
